Hello, my name is Chloe and my lovely husband is Dave. We have three gorgeous boys. Kaedon Morgan and Oakley. Well Oakley had a very difficult journey and so did I during the pregnancy and birth. I was in and out of hospital for 6 months and then hospitalised for two months prior to his birth. Unfortunately Oakley was born at 30 weeks.

He was 3lb6 and did lose a lot of weight as he struggled to keep anything down. We got transferred to Bradford away from our family and it was extremely scary and every day felt like it wouldn’t get any better. Oakley managed to put weight on slowly and what a trooper he was. We got transferred back to Harrogate after a few weeks and came to SCBU. From the very start they were supportive with everything. Gave us support as a family, my feeding, mental health and let me be a mum which as a NICU mummy you often feel like you can’t be involved but at SCBU they encourage everyone to be involved all the time and do or try to do normal things. Oakley and I had hours and hours of cuddles and skin to skin. Everyone at SCBU made time for me, came to speak to me daily had some good chats and good cries.

I would like to say a thank you to them by raising as much money as I can for them an my challenge is to run 100km in March. I will be doing it in the gym and will update as I go along. My goal is to £1500 please donate to the page. They have helped so many families. I have been through a lot of trauma from Oakleys birth and so have our family but to have there help as made a massive massive difference. THANK YOU
