Harrison’s Celebration of Life

Hi, my name is Laura Lagasse and I am here with a heavy heart to share the news of the passing of our loved one. As many of you know, our beloved, Harrison Hiroshi Kinere has been suffering with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and deadly disease. While Harrison has long suffered with liver damage, the cancer has spread to his lungs and the rest of his body and he was recently taken off of the transplant list, had chemo stopped and began home hospice on July 8. Harrison passed away early this morning with his family by his side.

Harrison was married to my eldest sister Sheryl Ann and is survived by 5 children - Chaz (Ed), Killa (Kat), Hanzy (Ruby), Mimi (Dave) and Ku’uipo, 12 grandchildren - La Reina, Aulani, Edlynn, Eduardo, Kayden, Kailey, August, Jordan, Ari, Javen, Josiah and Dream, a big family and lots of friends and coworkers.

Harrison worked maintenance for different apartment complexes and worked so hard to provide for his family. He was kind and big-hearted and spent all of his time with his children, taking care of the grandchildren and enjoying family get togethers. He was the best husband, dad, papa, brother and friend. He was always there willing to help with anything you needed.

We are thankful for the last days that family could spend at Harrison’s side, loving on him and thanking him for the blessing he has been to all of us. We know that he is in Heaven with Jesus and no longer in pain, but we pray for Sheryl and the family during this heart aching time of loss.
