Services for Baby Harrison

Hello, we are the family of Eric and Candace. We are trying to raise money to help with the costs of services as well as any other expenses that might arise. Throughout the pregnancy they knew Baby Harrison would be born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). HLHS  is a birth defect that affects normal blood flow through the heart. As the baby develops during pregnancy, the left side of the heart does not form correctly. During the pregnancy they were assured his chances of overcoming this condition were good and were unprepared for this outcome. Candace was scheduled to be induced on 7/12 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis and Baby Harrison would be transported  to Riley Children's Hospital for heart surgery. On 7/8 Candace's water broke and she was transported from the hospital in Warsaw to Methodist where her labor progressed normally. At 4:09pm Harrison Ross Jones Brinkley was born. Upon arrival his heart rate dropped and he was unable to breath on his own. The NICU staff worked on him and despite all their efforts they were unable to keep a heart beat. Baby Harrison passed away after 25 minutes of being worked on. He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 19.5 inches long. 
In the words of his parents, "He was only with us a little while.... But he felt the love he had in his short time on Earth... He is a Big boy... with a lot of dark, black hair... He has a little of all of his siblings in his precious chubby face..... He is just perfect...
