Harris Farm Stands With Nepal ❤️

At Harris Farm, our people have always been at the heart of who we are. When devastating floods struck Nepal, China & Tibet on 26 August, it caused widespread loss and damage, the impact was felt far beyond the communities directly affected.

We are proud to have a large and deeply valued Nepalese community across our stores and Support Office. For many of our team members, Nepal is home, and their families, friends and communities remain closely connected to the country.

We wanted to do what the Harris Farm community does best: come together and lend a hand.

We are starting within our own teams, sharing community lunches across our stores and Support Office. This Saturday, we are inviting our customers and local communities to join us at fundraising BBQs across NSW, the ACT and Queensland.

Together, we are hoping to raise over $100,000!!

On Saturday, 5 September, from 10am to 2pm, Harris Farm team members, along with their families and friends, will volunteer their time to run community BBQs at 20 of our stores.

You do not need to visit a BBQ to make a difference. You can donate right here, wherever you are.

Every contribution matters. A donation of $10, $20 or $50 might feel small on its own, but when our community comes together, it can grow into meaningful support for the people facing the long road of recovery and rebuilding.

If you are not able to donate, sharing this fundraiser with your family, friends, colleagues or local community is another wonderful way to help.

Where your donation will go

Donations made through this GoFundMe will first be transferred to a dedicated Harris Farm Markets business bank account.

Once the campaign closes, all net proceeds received from GoFundMe will be transferred to the Government of Nepal’s official Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund, using the payment instructions published by Nepal’s Ministry of Home Affairs.

GoFundMe transaction fees will be automatically deducted before the funds are received. Harris Farm Markets will not retain any of the money raised.

Once the transfer is complete, we will share an update confirming:

The final amount received through GoFundMe after transaction fees

The amount transferred to the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund

Confirmation that the transfer has been completed

Photographs and an update from our community BBQs

This fundraiser is about standing beside our Nepalese team members and the communities that mean so much to them.

It is about bringing people together across our stores, our teams and our neighbourhoods, and showing that even from thousands of kilometres away, we care and we are here to help.
