Harper’s Pack: Racing to Rescue

This journey started with one scared dog—Harper. When my wife and I adopted her from a rescue, she was terrified of everything: people, noises, even me. It took two years of patience, trust, and love before Harper came out of her shell. Today, she leads our four-dog pack with confidence.

Her transformation showed me what’s possible when animals are given a second chance.

Now, I’m training for my first Ironman. It’s going to be a long road—years of running, biking, and swimming to build up to one of the hardest endurance events in the world. I’m starting this journey off by training for the Tupelo half marathon in August and the Phoenix Marathon in December. No matter how tough it gets, I remember: what I’m doing is nothing compared to what rescue animals endure.

That’s why I created Harper’s Pack.

We’re fundraising to support animal rescue organizations—starting with the one that saved Harper. Every dollar raised helps give another dog a chance to be seen, healed, and loved.
