Harper's Continued Leukemia Journey #HarperStrong
Donation protected
We hoped and prayed this day would never come, but it did. Harper's leukemia is back. She was initially diagnosed with ALL B-cell in May 2020 and her last chemo treatment was Aug 2022, so it's been almost a year with no medicine and she's been thriving in all aspects of her life. She loves school, playing with her friends, reading and swimming.
Fast forward to last week, Tuesday May 30th, where out of nowhere she spiked a 102.5 fever after school and just said how tired she was. The fever came and went in 6 hours and no other symptoms aside from a little fatigue. She was back for the last day on school on Thursday. We reached out to her CHOC oncologist to let them know about the odd fever and they advised us to visit Quest for some blood labs as a precaution.
The next day, Friday, we got the call you never want to receive, her cancer is back. They asked us to bring her to CHOC first thing on Monday for additional testing and they reconfirmed the leukemia was back. Same ALL Bcell, just a more aggressive form.
As of today, we are hopeful to be starting a newer cutting edge immunotherapy called CAR T-Cell in 5 days. It's designed for people with ALL relapses. Here's a link to a short descriptive video explaing the therapy and how it works.
Please keep Harper in your thoughts and prayers and as I'm sure you know, she's a strong warrior with a great attitude! This time is a little different for her though, as she's well aware of what going on vs being a 4yr that just wants to play with PlayDoh.
I am starting this GoFundMe because Harper has another battle ahead of her that no child should have to endure. Her mommy and daddy will be with her 100% of the time, every step of the way! I'm asking for assistance for the Anderson's during this challenging time. They will be juggling work schedules, with Harper's treatments.
Our efforts to help offset any worries will allow them to concentrate on what's truly important, helping Harper beat leukemia AGAIN! #HarperStrong
Any donations will help and be greatly appreciated. Let's join forces to help this sweet little girl beat CANCER once again and get back to being a child and enjoying life, as all children should!!
Strengthen our family as we trust you to heal Harper. Speak words of hope and courage our hearts.
Thank you all for your support, we really appreciate it! This process is the worst but we know we're going to beat the cancer once and for all! We ask that you continue to keep this precious little girl in your prayers during this journey.
