Updated: Harper Seaman just turned 4! Her mom and dad Ryan and Lauren Seaman and Her Grandparents Marti and Darwin Strand and David and Susan Martin as well as Scott Seaman and all of her family love her to the moon and back.
Harper has been undergoing treatment for a Wilms tumor since the end of May. She was nearly finished with a 25 week treatment course when a mass appeared on her liver. A biopsy showed that Wilms spread to her liver which is unusual.
Due to this relapse during treatment and with some guidance from a Wilms specialist in Atlanta, she is now beginning a much tougher regimen. This will include radiation, 4 new types of chemo some of which will require in patient stays.
We are so devastated that she will have to endure more treatment but Harper continues to amaze us with her resilience throughout her treatment.
Unfortunately this means another 8 months of treatment and financial stress for this sweet family with mom having to stay home and be full time caregiver their income have been affected greatly. We so much appreciate everything that was done in the last round of donations. If the treatments had worked out as they had intended it would have been the perfect amount. If you can find it in your hearts to help in any way you can everything and anything even prayer and positive energy is appreciated. It is a long road ahead still but Harper and her Mommy and Daddy have shown they are tough and will persevere!! I will be upping the goal amount to reflect the additional funds needed and again thank you for any amount you can give!!
Previously:
My sweet niece Harper is a beautiful bright 3 year old who loves to read and sing. In a period 24 hours her little world got complicated. She went to the hospital with a mass on her abdomen and vomiting. They found a tumour in her kidney which was diagnosed as cancerous. They scheduled emergency surgery and removed the kidney and tumour. This beautiful baby has a tough road ahead of her with chemotherapy for at least 9 months, and will need full time care from mom and dad so sadly they will be missing a lot of work. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated to help support this sweet family in their hour of need. If you can’t afford to help we completely understand and would appreciate any positive energy and prayers you can send up for them.
