On 14/04/2024 our beautiful daughter Harper arrived into this world surrounded by lots of love but also in a crisis. Shortly before or during birth she had suffered a loss of oxygen. This meant Harper needed resuscitating and 72 hours of therapeutic cooling. This led to a diagnosis of severe HIE (Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy), severe brain damage and cerebral palsy.

Every parent’s dream is to watch their child grow, explore the world freely and overall thrive in life. However, life looks very different for Harper. She requires lots of care, multiple hospital appointments, specialist therapies including physical, occupational and speech & language. She also requires life enhancing equipment some of which is not funded by the NHS.

In the year we have been so lucky to have her, we have already faced unimaginable challenges and we are doing everything in our power to give Harper the best quality of life possible. However, the financial strain is becoming overwhelming, so this is where we really need your help!

What your support will mean:

•Vital equipment to support Harper’s mobility, posture, feeding and comfort

•Any Physical, occupational and speech therapy’s not funded by the NHS

•Hopeful stem cell therapy and Cytotron, which could improve Harper’s long term quality of life.

As Harper’s parents, we never expected to be writing something like this. We strongly believe with all the support we receive we can give Harper a better future. She is our whole world and we will do whatever it takes to give her the best chance at life.
