Dear Friends,

I am seeking to raise funds to purchase a pedal harp, an instrument that has been my lifelong companion and dream. This year, I suffered a heartbreaking loss when mine was stolen.

When I was a kid I had a dream about a harp and that dream inspired me to enroll at the National Conservatory of Music in Peru by the age of 12, where I studied until I graduated from university. For many years in Peru, I worked as a harpist in the National Symphony Orchestra until, at 23, I decided to take a bold step forward and leave my comfort zone in Peru to pursue a master’s degree at Berklee College of Music in Spain. At Berklee, I was finally able to buy my first harp—a dream come true.

That harp supported me through 5 years in Spain, even during the pandemic, when I served full-time to social action programs with the Bahá'í community in Alicante. Unfortunately, this year, I was deceived when I took my harp to be repaired in the south of France. Despite all my efforts, it was not returned to me, and I had to accept this loss.

Now, I find myself in need of buying a new pedal harp so I can continue my art. With your help, I will be able to continue creating, composing, and sharing my music through concerts. My goal is to raise 20,000 euros.
