Harolin Alvarez's Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Harolin, or as you may know her:  Shelldon, the mascot of the Daytona Tortugas, was involved in a horrific accident in November.

After a handful of surgeries, 6 weeks in a hospital, three months in a wheelchair, she has, fortunately, started to walk again and recover, and is going to physical therapy twice a week now.

The good news is that Harolin, miraculously, should make a full recovery and return as Shelldon by mid-season.

However, she has been left with a debt that she just simply can not pay off. Her medical bills totaled around $700,000, but she is looking for help to pay off the final $45,000.

If you know Harolin, you know she's the sweetest and kindest person in any room she's in. Even if she doesn't realize it, we know she has touched so many people both in and out of the mascot suit.

If she has ever made you laugh or smile at a game, played and goofed around with your kids, or gave away something to you and your family at The Jack, we ask that you consider helping her out, so she can return as Shelldon as quickly as possible and live debt free.

We could never thank you for your help, but Shelldon/Harolin will certainly try.
