Harold's Home
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Scott Bradley and I'm setting up this GoFundMe for my friend Harold. His home was burned down today by an arsonist and I'm asking for help to try right this wrong.
Harold is a senior citizen that has lived in my neighborhood alley for over a decade. I hesitate to call him "homeless" because he very much built himself a home in the alley and was considered a respected neighbor by his surrounding neighbors and local businesses.
Those of us who know him best, know him as a sober, kind hearted and gentle soul. But his reputation has been built on hard work. Harold's alley is the cleanest alley in all of Chicago. Day and night he's sweeping, organizing trash bins and getting everything setup for trash day. In the winters he shovels the sidewalks and is actively keeping an eye out for his neighbors homes and businesses - I have personally witnessed this old man put himself in harms way protecting this neighborhood.
Today he lost everything he has. His shelter, his family photos, his food, his documents and medical papers.
This is my first time setting up a GoFundMe and I did this while slammed at work. Please dont hold my grammatical errors, poor writing or target amount against the effort to help him. Any amount raised will be better than nothing.
TLDR: A friend lost everything to arson and needs some help.
