Three years ago, my car was totaled in a hit and run. I felt things would work out, but the guy was located and was unins
ured. I've been taking public transportation and walking since then. Taking the bus to two or more doctor appointments can burn up an entire day. I've had visits to 4 out of 6 in one day.
I live on SSI, which puts me well below the poverty level. My need to keep appointments, visit my pharmacy, and buy groceries is why I'm asking for help to purchase a vehicle. I've found lots of them suitable for less than 1k. There's no way with my income that I can afford one in under 3 more years. I'll probably be recuperating from my surgery (both knees) in December or January.
I know it's tough on all of us, but I need help. I'm not trying to purchase a new vehicle with all the bells and whistles, just something dependable to move around Little Rock.
I had an appointment with my orthopedic doctor today. I left my apartment at 8:15 and returned around 4:30. Public transportation is not the best way to go.
