Harmony Palmer's Breast Cancer Treatment Fund
Donation protected

Hello Everyone,
My name is Joel Diaz, this past July of 2020, my mother, Harmony Palmer, AKA Miss Harmony, was diagnosed with Inflammatory breast cancer which is rare and not hereditary. This is an aggressive type of breast cancer that only 200,000 people are diagnosed with in the USA. My mother is going through breast cancer treatments including chemotherapy for the next 9 months. She will have 6 months of chemo, followed by a double mastectomy, and 6 weeks of radiation as long as everything goes perfect to the treatment plan. It has only been about a month and medical bills have already accumulated over 7 thousand dollars. We are asking, for anyone who can, to please lend us a hand in paying these medical bills by donating to her cause in any amount that you possibly can. Anything at all helps and we understand that these are tough times between Covid-19 (Coronavirus) and unemployment, so if you cannot donate, we ask that you at least please share this link to your page, your friends, and your family to help spread the word. Any of the donations that are not used will be donated to other breast cancer patients in need. Thank you!
When my mother heard this news, she was completely devastated. Since then, she has taken such a proactive course in her treatment to beat cancer. She has changed her diet, converting to vegan, while taking vitamins and focusing her food intake on foods that reduce inflammation. She is cleansing her body, reducing her acidic levels while increasing her alkaline levels in order to give herself the best chance to beat the disease and go into remission for the rest of her life.
My mother raised my younger brother Christian and I as a single mother for our whole lives. She was there every step of the way, at every event, and did everything she could for us boys in her power no matter what. From working 3 jobs to support us at home, to driving all over the east coast to make sure my brother and I made it to all of our sporting events, my mother was always there for us. I can't remember a game, practice, or event that my mother did not make it to for my brother and I. To this day she still continues to support us both in anything that we do. Not only did my mother raise my brother and I, she also helped raise the neighborhood of friends my brother and I grew up with. From carpooling, dinners with friends at my house, giant sleep overs, the hangout spot, to even helping get and keep some of us out of trouble, she was always there for us and our friends. Everyone knew that our house was always open arms to anyone in need and anyone who just wanted to stop by. It got to the point where my friends and my brothers friends would would just show up to the house unannounced whether either of us were home or not. Anyone who has ever stepped into the same room as my mother knows that she is kind and polite, and always smiles excitedly and greets you with a hug and a kiss. My mother has always been willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Many of my friends, my brothers friends, as well as family have experienced this first hand.
During my brothers and I high school careers, she became the "Team Mom" for AAU Basketball as well as the North Providence High School Football Team, all on top of her already busy schedule with work and taking care of my brother and I. She went out of her way always to make sure we as players had what we needed. She was also a major carpool during basketball season throughout the years. Without her we may not even have been able to play many of our basketball games as half the team was usually in our car. Most of you will know my mother from sports as she was always the loudest person cheering in the stands. Some of you were even opponents of my brother and I who became friends and ended up realizing sooner than later that my mom began cheering for and supporting you as well, even while we were playing against each other. Even while my friends were in college, she would still go to the games and ended up becoming a familiar face at the college football and basketball games. In the past few years my brother Christian has been racing cars, specifically drifting, if you don't know what that is just go watch The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift. If you didn't think my mom could get any cooler, guess what, you were wrong. She is always the first person who wants to put a helmet on and slide around the track with my brother in the car, and she does! It just goes to show you, we love to live a fun and fast life, figuratively and literally, I mean don't forget, her and I both do ride motorcycles. She has no fear and cancer chose the wrong one to mess with because it's going to take a beat down!!
My mom has always been kindhearted and put everyone else before herself. I think it is time that she becomes the one who is on the receiving end of the helping hand and is given the time to put herself before others!
