Harmony Half-Marathon

On the 10th May 2020, I will be running the Harmony Half Marathon in Geneva alongside my brother Rob to fundraise for ESCA CancerSupport. As we cross the finish line side by side, it will mark a milestone in a journey that has inspired and awed me in equal measure.
It will mark 2 years since his sudden and severe diagnosis with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. Rushed into intensive care isolation, in typical Rob Breare fashion, his indefatigable spirit came to the fore.
Yet, whilst Rob's physical symptoms and illness were being treated by his peerless Swiss medical team, Rob's mental health struggled. In stepped, among others, ESCA CancerSupport. Their support for Rob in providing therapy, encouragement, understanding, and his participation in their Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for Cancer Patients programme was a lifeline for both Rob and my phenomenal sister-in-law Tamsin and their three beautiful children.
For Rob, this half-marathon will be an extraordinary feat by a truly extraordinary man. I will be filled with pride to run alongside him on behalf of ESCA CancerSupport.
Please donate, however large or small, to help them provide families and patients with the free of charge, vital support that my brother received.
