Hey, thank you for taking the time to read about our fundraising and the reason behind it.

Recently throughout the community within Swanage, Harmans Cross and Wareham there have been some huge unexpected loses that have caused sadness for many as well as a realisation for some (for me definitely) that time is precious and you just never know what is around the corner.

With this in mind we have taken it upon ourselves to investigate the process of us as a local business to offer our premises as a base for a defibrillator for the local people in our community to access as and when needed in an emergency.

We do have one in Harmans Cross at the village hall but with a rough population of just under 400 individuals in the village and being a main access through to popular towns either way we feel that another one, central to the community is needed.

We have made the decision that through fund raising we would like to be able to offer this here at Foleys for everyone to be able to access if required.

We are also aware of the accidents that happen on this busy through road and we hope to raise enough funds to allow us to also offer a trauma kit point alongside the defibrillator.

Moving forward to the overall goal we need to ask our local community for support. This will be done through donations and sponsorships which we would really appreciate your help with. This is to provide life saving technology to a community that we actually hope will not be needed but in that moment of pure terror and emergency will be available to assist in saving someones life until the ambulance arrives.
