Harley’s wish list

Quedgeley Wanderers Under 12 Reds and their parents have set up this page for Harley and his family……

Harley is a 12 year old, sports-crazy lad who has always been at his happiest when he’s with his mates and watching or playing sport! A few months back Harley started suffering with pain in his lower back - because of the amount of sports he does the natural assumption was that he’d injured himself in some way. Doctors and physios all gave suggestions to ease the pain but despite this it just kept getting worse! Over Easter weekend things got so bad that he was struggling to sit or stand so X-rays and scans were finally done and a tumour was found. Further tests were done and this week the results of those tests have confirmed that Harley has Osteosarcoma in his lower back - a treatment plan is in place starting with chemotherapy which will commence this weekend.

Since the tumour was initially found so many people have been asking what they can do to help. The parents of Quedgeley Wanderers Under 12 Reds have set up this GoFundMe account to help raise some much needed money - to help Harleys parents (Donna & Andy), and his siblings (Sonny & Willow), through what is going to be a challenging few months ahead!

Despite everything that is going on, Harley is trying to stay positive by thinking about what he wants to do when he’s better - the list is growing by the minute!! Any money we raise will help the whole family financially through the next few months (regular hospital trips and being unable to work are naturally going to have a huge impact!)! What we’d love to do though is raise enough money to also pay for/contribute to, the 5 of them having a special holiday together when Harley is feeling better!

Harley’s Quedgeley Wanderers team mates will be doing a few fundraisers over the next few months to help reach our target but if anybody wants to make separate donations, it will all go towards helping this amazing family who have always given so much to others in the past!
