Harleys Twisted Stomach Sugery

Harley suddenly got very ill Sunday afternoon and had to be rushed to the emergency veterinary clinic. His stomach had started twisting and it had flipped about 100 degrees in half an hour! His intestines were bloated and his solen enlarged. He needed to undergo surgery immediately to have a chance to survive! The cost for the surgery is high in itself but being Sunday afternoon/evening the price tag skyrocketed...!
Harley has always had a high spirit and simply loves life! To appreciate all the small miracles is the biggest lesson he has taught me..
He’s is so kind and so gentle and loves everyone he meet! This made it easy to decide to go for the surgery - despite the high cost. Of course he should get every chance possible to recover! He’s only two years old and has so much more left of life and he should get every chance possible to live his life to the fullest and continue to spread his joy!
Being a GD I have always taken all precautions regarding exercise and feeding to prevent the famous action of stomach twisting. This happened out of the blue while having a lazy afternoon on the couch. He hadn’t been exercising or eating close up to the event. Hopefully one day there will be a greater understanding for this horrible illness.
I wish to share our story so that others can be aware that this can happen out of the blue just like that - like it did for us! If your dogs suddenly gets very ill - call the vet!
The vet bill for the surgery and medicine is approximately 4700USD 4100€ 3600£ 40 000NOK
This is a very high cost for me and I have taken up a loan to cover the vet bill. Any donations to help pay for the loan will be appreciated beyond words. I am so humble and greatful for anyone who wish to contribute to Harley’s surgery cost. I may not be able to repay you in person but I promise I will pay it forward in the future when I met someone in need for a helping hand like I am now.
