Harley's Fight: 4 Surgeries and Counting
Donation protected

Hey everyone! The cutie that probably drew your attention to this page is 2-year-old Harley. He is a loving, energetic boy that is certainly never dull.
Since July of 2024, Harley has been back and forth to the vet to attempt to find a solution to a mass on his side that had developed and grown overnight. After numerous visits and a year of unanswered questions, we decided to take him to Tickle-Blagg Animal Hospital, thinking a new set of eyes would be what we need. Sure enough, the wonderful doctors recommended that we proceed with surgery because they suspected a foreign body was causing the infection. With the first surgery, 7 pieces of spear grass were found near Harley's ribs. Things began to look hopeful, but unfortunately, it has become quite the battle. We have dealt with necrotic skin, skin removal, surgical revisions due to infection, and today Harley had his 4th surgery where more pieces of the spear grass were found. We have a long journey ahead, and a likely chance that there is more in there.
Harley's owner is a wonderful man and has worked so hard to do whatever needs to be done to get him better, but he is also a college student doing the best he can. We ask for any help that others may be able to offer so that we might finally get Harley better. All funds will be used to pay off the medical bills and for what is to come. Thank you all!
