Harley the Great Dane's Medical Expenses
Hi everyone! I'm fundraising to help cover the medical expenses for my dog, Harley. Harley is a sweet, goofy, 5 1/2 year old Great Dane who has suddenly had some very serious medical issues that have led to two separate hospitalizations.
About a week ago, Harley began vomiting excessively and stopped eating. He rapidly lost weight, and currently sits at less than 125lbs and dropping (he sits between 145 and 155lbs normally). He developed a fever and could barely stand without help. Shaky and weak, he visited the emergency vet 3 separate times in the past week and has spent 2 nights so far, with likely at least a couple more to go. So far he has had 3 ultrasounds, two x-rays, fecal tests and various bloodwork panels but we have not identified the issue yet. He remains on an IV under care of the vet, and still has not eaten.
In the coming days, he will remain hospitalized and need more panels and an endoscopy/ biopsy to hopefully find the problem, and to begin treatment.
