I went back and forth on making a go fund me to help with funeral expenses...But I must put my pride to the side and tell my story. My 4 yr old son Harlem Hinton was diagnosed at birth with full trisomy 13. I tried to get life insurance for Harlem because of his given life expectancy and diagnosis. Harlem could not get a policy because of him having a terminal diagnosis. My only way of getting Harlem a policy was to have a policy taken out on a “healthy” sibling and have Harlem signed unneath of their policy. At the time of me trying to get him insurance, I had no other children. Harlem death was expected but also unexpected because he was thriving.
