Children have the right to have access to quality education and personal growth opportunities. This is what Harkness Institute provides for Mexican students in the Puerto Vallarta area. At Harkness, we make it our mission to give gifted students access to the education that they need to make their dreams come true, regardless of their socio-economic status.
In the classroom, students make use of the Harkness method, which is discussion-based. The classes, which are composed of a maximum of 14 students, are designed to promote critical thinking, intellectual curiosity, and interpersonal skills.
Outside the classroom, Harkness students have the opportunity to take part in several academic exchange programs with high schools abroad. For the students who are selected, this is a unique opportunity to attend a high school in a different cultural environment.
The harsh reality is that many of our students could not afford to attend Harkness if they weren’t given a scholarship, and the majority of our students rely on that support. The annual tuition is unimaginable for most Mexican parents, which is why we need your help. We need you to help us give students in the area access to the education that they need in order to continue their academic journey.
Harkness is a non-profit school, which relies on its supporters to make sure that Mexican students have access to an education of the highest quality, despite the high costs of running an academic institution.
