Haringey Learning Partnership Sponsored Walk for Jamaica Relief

Date: 14th November 2025

We are staff and students from Haringey Learning Partnership (HLP) — a school that supports young people across Haringey who face challenges in mainstream education.

Many of us at HLP are of Jamaican heritage, and we’ve been heartbroken by the devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa, which has left parts of Jamaica in crisis. Homes, schools, hospitals, and even airports have been destroyed or severely damaged, and lives have been tragically lost.

To help provide much-needed support, we’re coming together as a school and community to take part in a 25-minute Sponsored Walk on Friday 14th November 2025. Students, staff, and local residents will walk together to raise funds for schools in Accompong Town (Maroon Town), Cockpit Country, St Elizabeth — one of the worst-affected areas.

Every penny raised will go directly to supporting the rebuilding and recovery of schools and children affected by Hurricane Melissa.

Together, we can show our love and solidarity with the people of Jamaica and help rebuild hope for the future.
