Hi my name is Micah. I was raised by my grandparents. My grandpa (Paul Bankert) is the hardest working man I know. He has been a valued employee for the companies he has worked with over the years. He has always been there for myself and the other six kids who I consider my siblings. Recently he has become unable to work because he needs a hip replacement. He has been waiting on AHS but the wait is still expected to be years. And now he is no longer able to work. He can have private surgery as early as January but the cost is over $25,000.00 plus flights and hotel as private surgery in Alberta is also backed up. This is a hard place for him, mentally and physically because work is his passion and he loves his trade. He is also suffering in pain with his hip which is sad because his overall health is excellent.
