Already I have tracked down and corrected a problem in KVM with nested page tables that has been causing issues for the AMD platform for nearly 10 years now as seen on Level1techs, Hackaday and Phoronix .
I would like to continue this work to attempt to resolve the issues that the AMD ThreadRipper and EPYC platforms have with PCI power states on guest VM restart. In order to do this I require access to the physical hardware. Since I do this work as a hobby I can not justify the cost to purchase this system outright.
I am looking for funding from the community to purchase a ThreadRipper system so that I can continue to work on these problems.
The platform will need to be complete (Case, PSU, MB, CPU, RAM, VGA, HDD) as I can not strip down my workstation for this (I still have to earn a living).
