Help my family bury my sister.

Hi,

My name is Lindsey and I'm here asking for assistance to help pay for my sister's funeral.

Not even a month ago, my sister Erin started experiencing some very concerning health issues and went to the ER to get checked out. Seeing that her skin and eyes had yellowed and she was swollen across her face and abdomen, they immediately knew it was her liver. They admitted her started running all the tests they could. All the tests indicated the obvious, her liver was failing.

Our local hospital is not the place to be when something is really wrong with you. Luckily, they know that and transferred her to Duke.

The doctors at Duke immediately started the necessary steps to determine if she was a candidate for a transplant. Ultimately, for several reasons, she was denied.

So here we are. We don't know how much time she has but we do know that final arrangements are expensive. The local funeral director is a family friend and is trying to keep costs as low as possible but of course he can't control the cost of everything.

My family and I are experiencing every emotion possible and stress about expenses is definitely one of them.
