Hard working nurse newly diagnosed with MS
Donation protected
Abby has worked as a LPN for 2 years. She would do anything to help others. She is one of the sweetest people I know. She worked so hard this year to finish RN school in May and had big plans for her future. She had big goals as an independent woman. Abby bought her first home last year at only 26 years old and her first car this year. She has always taken pride in being independent and working hard towards her goals. 3 weeks ago things started to go down hill for Abby. She was at work when she began to have a terrible migraine. Instead of going home she suffered through a 12 hr shift (dedication). The next day the pain began getting worse along with vision changes. After a few days her face and mouth became numb, Abby went to the ER where she underwent a lot of testing. MRI showed devastating news of MS. Since then Abby has had to call into work for 3 weeks straight. Her vision continues to decline. She has used all her sick time at work. She can no longer open her left eye, she currently can’t walk on her own and she is too dizzy to sit up. The stress is beyond overwhelming. She is emotionally and physically hurting. She was admitted back into the hospital on Thursday, 7/2/20. She has yet to receive any treatment due to her insurance having to approve the expensive IV medication she needs. This healthcare hero is hurting. 3 weeks ago she was giving her all to provide care to our veterans. Today she is helpless. She needs us. She has a car, mortgage, and hospital bills she is worried about and can’t pay. The stress of her life right now is causing her medical condition to decline more. Please help Abby, she has her whole life ahead of her. The world needs more nurses like Abby. We need Abby! She needs us. Anything will help. Please donate! Thank you
