Hard working daddy attacked by homeless guy

Greetings, my friends.

My son Eric and his partner and baby are in need of some support at this time.

Eric was brutally attacked and beaten by a homeless man while enjoying the beauty of nature behind his home on the Sante Fe Trail in Colorado Springs.

His visible injuries include a laceration above his eye with both eyes blackened, some chipped teeth, and bodywide pain developing some bruises from his neck to his hip. He feels whiplash-type pain as well. The attacker used a large stick and jumped Eric from behind. The blows to his head were with such force that Eric was temporarily unable to see during the attack but his vision is fine now... its just that the force of the blows has left him vulnerable to concussion which he is beginning to show signs of now, 3 days post-attack.

The funds I am requesting will go toward replacing lost wages so that he can heal for a few days before returning to his job laying utility lines. There is no way to predict his actual recovery and I don't want to portray him as incapacitated! He's just in significant pain and his brain no doubt needs a little down time.

This was a horrific event for the family, and we are all pulling together to help Eric and Christina take care of Harper. It's unclear how long the investigation will take before he can get any potential assistance from a victim's fund, but the injury is now and this is when they need help the most.
