Hard start to Nekos life

Donation protected
Hi I am Chantel, Cimmy’s older sister, as some of you may know little Neko has, had a rough start to life and it’s continuing…
Firstly at 2 weeks old he was admitted to hospital with a staph infection, which would have been fatal but Cimmy & Andy got on to it very early,
Neko spent a week in hospital on an IV drip with 3 types of antibiotics and they thought that was the end of it. Months went by Neko seemed to be like any other baby, then slowly started showing little signs here and there of not being right he started to sit up at the age of 7months, but then after a few weeks he stopped, he would scream in pain when sat up, he was waking thru the night a-lot screaming & very unsettled. Cimmy had come to believe this was “just neko, this is what he does, when he wants food, bum change or some attention”.

A few weeks ago Neko started to refuse to sit up in the bath, on the floor or in his high chair and you could tell he was in a lot of pain,
so Cim decide to see the GP that included a trip back n fourth to the hospital for X-rays & ultrasounds, short stay on the pediatric Ward and finally to get a MRI done last week which showed that Neko has 2 fractures in his spine .. 9 months old and 2 fractures in your spine..Wow !!
Corresponding with the Royal Children’s Andy & Cim got the news that its believed Neko has a infection in his bones and requires immediate medical treatment.
A trip down to RCH , more X-rays & Neko has osteomyelitis, the bone infection has completely destroyed a disc in his spine and the bone is not growing right so a back brace was fitted to be worn 24-7 for 6+ weeks,
And he needs to put back on long antibiotics (3 months) through a drip and monitor him closely for at least a week @ RCH and then possible if infection is fading daily nurse treatment from home.
So this has meant Cimmy & Andy are & have been trying to get by on one wage as Cim has already been unable to work constantly over the passed 9 months because of the ups and downs with Neko health.
This as you could imagine has put a financial strain on their family... for cimmy who runs her own small business and unable to work the bills, home loan repayments & general life still go on even when the money doesn’t flow & unable to get any support from the government to help get by.
So I’ve decided that I would do a fundraiser to help support them in anyway possible...
so please if you would like to donate anything honestly will help & be very much appreciated thank you xx
