My name is Cami Aufdermauer and I am the Executive Director of Tillamook County Habitat for Humanity. It is with a heavy heart that I write that one of our own beloved team members has received the news that every parent fears, their child has Leukemia.
Everett (4) was diagnosed with Leukemia a few days after Christmas when he was rushed by ambulance from Tillamook to OHSU. His mother Desiree (Ingram) Harrison has not left his side and will continue to be with him during his road to recovery.
The family has made the decision to enter into a trial treatment for Everett in order to give him the best possible chance for recovery. The treatment will be an intensive 3-month in which he will remain under the direct care of OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
Desiree and her family are recent Habitat Homeowner who moved into her new home one year ago.
Although they have a stable and affordable place to live, Desiree will be unable to work in her role as ReStore Assistant Manager for the next 2-3 months during her sons treatment.
During this time Desiree will be unable to work. Although she has some hours of PTO to cover her absence, it will not cover the extent of her time away. Her husband is working and caring for their other two children at home, but their one income will not cover the unexpected expenses.
With chemo underway, we need your help to alleviate the financial stress so the focus can be on Everett.
You have options in how to give including online through GoFund or via Venmo at (for a no fee option).
OR
A donation box has been set up at Tillamook County Habitat for Humanity located at 4192 Hwy 101 Tillamook (across from the Creamery). 100% of all funds will be given directly to the family to help cover their financial needs.

Message from Everetts Mama, “Please continue to pray for Everett. Now the hard part begins...chemo. It will not be easy but he is strong and he is a fighter!!”
