Anyone who knows my mom knows that she is the model of compassion and civility. She doesn't drink, never smoked a day in her life, and needless to say she doesn't deserve having to go through an invasive operation (her 2nd now) to remove cancer from her mouth. I'm happy to report that the operation was a success and the doctors are confident that all of the cancer was removed.

The bad news is that she is hardly able to speak at the moment and even when she's released from the hospital her and Mike face an uphill battle towards rehabilitation. They're sure to be behind on bills this month, with neither of them being able to work and the medical bills accumulating atop their normal monthly expenses; and this holiday season they have enough to worry about without stressing about how to pay for utilities, a car payment, groceries, and various other expenditures.

She would never ask for it, which is where I come in, and I guess all I'm asking of Robin's friends, family members, and co-workers is this:

If you are blessed enough to have the ability to help someone so deserving of help that we all love very much, PLEASE find it in your heart to help in any way that you can. You may not miss the $25, $50, or whatever you can donate, but I know it will mean the world to my mom; such a kind person who has really had it tough lately and could use a break. Thank you so much, Happy Holidays, and God Bless!
