The last few months have been a wild rollercoaster. From diagnosis in November to surgery after Christmas, to another one in January, plus 5+ weeks of radiation. And all the emotions that come along​ with hearing the word "cancer."
Most of the time I've been in a healthy state of denial.
Truth is, I like to think of it as a really bad cold. 
It is, of course, much more serious.

Through the amazing support of family and friends, I'm living life regardless of the diagnosis, surgeries and treatments.

As you likely know, over the past few years I've really focussed on being stress-free, finding-my-bliss, being happy in the moment, doing what I love and loving what I do every day.  You might have seen my posts about #thingsthatmademehappytoday (or laugh, or at least smile).  Which to me is the very same thing as #whatGoddidinmylifetoday (it's perfectly fine with me if you don't share that exact sentiment!)
And this Cancer stuff can't stop that!  

I have been able to keep working almost enough to keep my regular bills covered. Unfortunately the unexpected expenses will exceed my "unexpected expenses" budget line item. (It was really small...)
And I'm missing the beginning of tour season, so that's going to make things super tight.

I've been purchasing my health insurance through the DC Exchange. (You've heard me rant on and on about that.) It's amazingly good coverage. But...the deductible and additional allowable costs following diagnosis in November until December 31st were just over $2000.  2017's deductible is $2000  (I hit that by Jan. 12).
There is a  $6500 out-of-pocket maximum (I'll hit that by the end of February).

In short, I'm asking for help to cover these unexpected costs of $8500 ($2000 for 2016 and $6500 for 2017). I've added an additional $500 here to cover this site's processing fees.  Any amount I receive here will go directly to medical costs. Anything extra will be transfered to someone else on a similar journey. 

I can assure you -- without a shadow of a doubt --
I will pay forward every penny as soon as I can.
