The sole purpose of the restaurant, is to generate income to sustain my non-profit called Voices Of Variety; which will offer services and programs listed below but not limited to those services.
Imagine buying food from a resturant who's profits go to helping the youth. Given them positive options right in their community. Which can posibly prevent them from;
- Hanging out in the streets, learning bad habits
- Being peer pressured, abused verbally, physically, mentally and socially, clubing, drinking, and fights.
- Simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time
Without "VOV"s venue for self-expression, young people may often resort to doing just that:

You might be shocked to hear how effective music therapy can be. This therapy is used to improve the physical and mental health of patients. Music therapists primarily help hospital patients improve their health in several domains such as cognitive functioning, motor skills, emotional development, social skills, and quality of life.
By using music experiences such as free improvisation, singing, and listening to, discussing, and moving to music to achieve treatment goals patience improve their overall health.
Fact “Listening to music before, during and after surgery reduces patients pain, eases anxiety and lessens the need for painkillers.

Why have a work study?
Many people are forced to be in bad environments
that can possibly distract them and prevent a person from being succuessful. As a solution we offer study spaces for students to think, and focus in peace.
First priorities are the “At risk”. VOV wants to replace Gun violence with performing arts opportunities while encouraging all to use the arts as a positive venting mechanism, replacing all negative acts, violence, not attending school etc. This will also open up an opportunity to mentor youth, young adults and breed positive change.

We will also include field trips for the community to exspand their view of the world. Learning together, interacting in a positive progressive environment.

Help heal and re-connect families in devastating catastrophic events through music.
"VOV" wants to help ease the anxiety after an event in which many people have lost friends and family due to mother nature.
While effected areas are being repaired its still a disaster stitched in the minds of those who lived it. The anxiety often triggers them to a depressed mind set, self blamming, etc. VOV" will demonstrate music & events to ease the nerves of parents and children.
How will we help? " VOV" will sing and perform music to assist in canceling out sad remembrances. Through music "VOV" will help them view setbacks as opportunities.

Bucket Boys
Who are they?
The ‘Bucket Boys’ are a group of street drummers that use their skills to escape the crime and poverty of their neighborhoods. However, instead of playing the drums, they play on buckets.
Their talents are wonderful but thousands of people shuffle past the ‘Bucket Boys’ every day without noticing all the hours they’ve clearly put into perfecting their skills.
The majority of the bucket drummers aren’t actually licensed to play in the street and in subway stations; which is why they regularly have to avoid being ejected or arrested by the police.
Many city ordinances restrict where and when street performers are permitted to perform. ‘VOV’ would like to be a filter for the development of such talent.
How will ‘VOV’ help bucket boys?
"VOV" would like to exchange their paint buckets for real drums then help them hone their craft and provide a platform for the ‘Bucket Boys’ to perform.

Homeless Prevention-Transitional Housing Assistance
Their are people in the chicago englewood area who don’t have a bed to go to at night after working hard the entire day. They have no other options other then to be out in the streets for a good night’s rest.
Why? Many low-income families that need to move oftentimes have raised all the money they can on securing homes or apartments, leaving them no money for the small expenditures that occur when moving.
How will ‘VOV’ help? "VOV’" will rent a moving truck and provide a driver to help that family. We would like to help with transitional housing for the homeless, by creating a program to help each person. We will refer and or create a successful housing assistance program for our homeless clients.
Results program
This program will focus on promoting awareness and education; taking action and providing opportunities for others to help. Last year voices of variety was forced to shut down due a lack of funding and support.
I would like your help to re-open voices of variety.
