The happy pad is the first and only Patented biodegradable sanitary pad in Ethiopia. It's a Chemical & Plastic free pad that is degraded after 6 months of disposal. Our Vision is to see the world with Healthy, quality & organic hygiene products.

Our Story

When I was a campus student, I was able to come across that there were many torn mattresses in our dorm. At the time, I was a general secretary at the Ambo University student union and I had a chance to discuss the issues with the proctors. I was so shocked when I found out that some girls used the ruptured mattress as a sanitary pad every month. Having learned about the challenges that most students were going through as well as experiencing some rashes when I used commercial sanitary pads myself, I could not stop thinking about the idea.

Use of Funds

Our goal is to raise $ 20,000 USD. All funds will be used for the expenses of Happy Pad’s Sample raw materials, packaging, warehousing, marketing, and tests, including laboratory testing, Standard authorization, product assessment, and confirmation.
