Happy Anniversary to Lisieux!
We are immensely thankful to everyone who contributed to the success of our first year in the drop-in center. As we celebrate this special anniversary, we invite you to participate in making the second year an even greater one as we continue to serve women who have survived trauma, addiction, prostitution, and life on the streets. We currently work with a total of 79 women. Although we do not see each of them every week, we are there as the needs arise. We consistently provide services to 32-35 women each week. Below are some of our accomplishments during our first year in the drop-in center:
- We served more than 600 meals in community.
- We distributed 1,450 care bags.
- We assisted 3 women in securing housing this year.
- We have continued to work with some of the women who were at our previous residence and returned to the streets. Two of them are now in long-term recovery programs after going through detox (a number of times) and rehab.
- Another woman from our street ministry is also in a long-term recovery program.
- We walked alongside a woman who was housed previously through our street outreach and whose significant other has developed a life-threatening illness.
Your donation will help us assure our women that "Love Lives Here" for another year.
Lisieux Community provides support and education for women who have survived trauma, addiction, prostitution, and life on the streets. We do this in our drop in center and by meeting them with assistance on the street. We work with other organizations to obtain services to help the women live life on life's terms.
