Help Sweet Lainey Breathe Easier

My name is Jordyn & I am one of Lexi’s close friends. Sweet Lainey has been readmitted to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia for her continued low oxygen levels and apnea episodes. Lainey has been on CPAP at home as well as oxygen, and they aren’t helping. The next step is a major surgery called a mandibular distraction where the plastic surgeons will make incisions, break her jaw in two locations, and place hardware that will stick out behind her ears. The hardware will be turned daily to lengthen her jaw in hopes of improving her obstructive sleep apnea as well as her feeding issues. Lexi and her family are very worried about sweet Lainey and are just hoping the doctors can help improve her situation.

I wanted to organize this GoFundMe for Lainey’s family to help take the burden off of them for bills and travel expenses while they are by her side caring for her. I know Lexi and Lainey are both beyond exhausted after countless nights of worrying and lack of sleep, plus the numerous trips back and forth to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Lexi has a beautiful family who always helps others and a sweet 3-year-old boy at home as well.
