Anyone who knows the Hanson Family (Johannes, Nicole, Dominic and Augustus), know that they are truly kindhearted people who would help family or friends at the drop of a hat.
As many of you know, Nicole has been progressively ill for the past year. Within that year, their entire world has changed. After much of the year with no answers, Nicole has finally been diagnosed with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS), Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia, Chronic Pancreatitis, and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. All of this combined has meant that most of Nicole’s days must be spent in bed to manage symptoms as much as possible. She can only really tolerate a maximum of 3 hours out of bed per day, and that’s on a “good” day. She has been forced to apply for disability, as it isn’t feasible to work as a PA anymore. Disability has been a long, drawn out, and frustrating process. It is unknown when or if it will be approved.
In the middle of this loss of so much, comes financial hardship and struggle. They are currently selling one of their vehicles and eventually selling their home in order to improve financial stability and to get Nicole into a single story ranch home that will be more manageable and be accessible in a wheelchair as needed. There are also ever increasing medical expenses to deal with.
Many people have asked how they can help. At this time, helping to lift some of the financial burden from their shoulders would be so very much appreciated by a family who find it hard to even ask for such a thing from anyone. I’m hoping we can all help a great family through a very tough time. We love you Hansons! Keep fighting. There are so many people who support and love you.
