Hans George Weinmeister, my father & fishing partner passed away on December 4, 2018. He joins his father, Arnie Weinmeister, 1984 NFL Hall of Famer & his mother, Shirley Hoff of Stibnite, ID, who’s life was tragically taken by a drunk driver when Hans was only 5 yrs old. Hans was looking forward to being with his parents in heaven as he battled progressive liver disease in the last few months on this earth.
Hans was born in Seattle on July 3, 1952. He is survived by his four children, who he spent all of the family vacations with either hunting or fishing throughout Washington state.
He is also survived by his....sisters, grandchildren etc.
Many of you know my dad from his years behind the counter at Wild West Guns in Anchorage and the Animal Planet reality series, Wild West Alaska. He had a great sense of humor and was everyone’s buddy.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated to help cover the cost of his cremation, medical expenses and settlement of his estate. His home was also recently damaged during the recent 7.0 earthquake. Funds will help with the clean up efforts where his daughter, Lisa & grandson Jordan currently reside.
