Hello Hanover Street School Community!!
Hanover Street School’s playground is in need of important upgrades and repairs. The smaller green playground structure has reached the end of its usable life; however, in order to reduce the upcoming year’s school budget, the funds for its replacement ($150,000) were removed.
To help move this project forward, the Hanover Street PTO (Lebanon Elementary PTO) is raising funds to begin the replacement process. The Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation has generously offered to match any donations raised by the PTO, dollar for dollar, up to $50,000. Funds must be secured by June in order to be eligible for the matching contribution.
All funds raised will be dedicated to the future replacement of the playground structure, with the goal of beginning the project in 2027. Once a budget is established, the PTO will work closely with the district’s facilities team to plan next steps. We hope a new playground structure will create a welcoming space where all students can participate and enjoy being outdoors together.
If we are unable to raise adequate funds by 2027, we will continue fundraising efforts until we are able to purchase a new playground structure. Our overall fundraising goal is $150,000 to replace the structure.
Thank you for your support of Hanover Street School and its students. Please consider donating or sharing this page with others (family, friends, employers) who may be interested in helping!
