UPDATE: For almost two months, Hanoui and Ramadan were alone, staying in an abandoned kindergarten near the ruins of their home. They barely survived, enduring hunger and cold, and experienced extreme trauma. Ramadan was taken by soldiers for three days, handcuffed, and abused without water or food. Tragically, he even saw his 13-year-old cousin, Mohammad, die in front of him.

With the help of a fundraiser, enough money was raised to seek assistance from the ‘YaHala’ company in Egypt. After a month of waiting, they were approved, and after a long and dangerous journey, they finally crossed into Egypt. In Cairo, they moved between different families who tried to help, but all were temporary arrangements. They are now renting a flat in the “Sixth of October” area in Giza, Egypt.

Ramadan and Hanoui desperately need a stable environment where they can socialize and receive education. They are in dire need of care and the opportunity to move to a safe and stable third country, where they can receive the financial and emotional support they need to build the bright future they deserve. Please help us give these courageous children a chance at a safe and hopeful future.

Hi, my name is Abigail, I am trying to raise money on behalf of my dear friend’s family. Her family is from Gaza City, however their home has been destroyed by Israeli airstrikes which killed their father, grandmother, and many other relatives and friends. Now her two younger siblings, Hanoui (12) and Ramadan (17) are taking refuge in the rubble of their old home with their uncle.

For many weeks they have been unable to move to seek safer asylum. They do not have secure access to food and are suffering from extreme cold due to a lack of winter clothing. Their older sister managed to leave Gaza before the war and has reached safety in Turkey. They are desperately trying to escape the war, reunite with her in Turkey, and live in safety and security.

I aim to raise $25,000 to help them make it out of Gaza, reunite with their sister, and rebuild their lives abroad together. All donations will be collected from the bank account of a friend of mine in the US and transferred directly to their uncle. In their current situation, without parents and without a home, their lives are at risk and they are in immediate danger.

These innocent children are living through a brutal war and do not have even the most basic of their needs met. They have experienced so much pain in their short lives and are still at risk.
