Help me take part in the Hannover Trade Show Delegation 2016
About Me
I’m Erika Fennelly, a student of Marketing, German and Chinese at the University of Colorado in Boulder. As an Irish and American citizen, I’m passionate about transatlantic relations and the European-American community. This has led me to become involved at the World Trade Center, intern at the German American Chamber of Commerce and be newly appointed as a board member of the German Professional Women’s Association – Colorado Chapter.

My Goal
The Hannover Trade Show is the world’s largest industrial trade show and is hosted annually in Germany, bringing together manufacturing, energy, smart tech and other industries. This year marks the first that the USA has been chosen as the partner nation, with an entire pavilion dedicated to companies and representatives from the United States and President Obama opening the event.
This April, the German American Chamber of Commerce is hosting a delegation to the trade show, where they will be joined by representatives from local firms and the international business community.
My goal is to join the delegation to the Hannover Trade Show 2016 to support the German American Chamber of Commerce, represent the German Professional Women’s Association and gain valuable knowledge for a career in international marketing. All funding will go towards a flight, accommodations and entry to the trade show.

German Professional Women’s Association – Colorado Chapter:
The German Professional Women’s Association is passionate about connecting a community of German, Austrian, Swiss and American women in Colorado and supporting their businesses.
As part of our Trade Show Committee, I am working to bring together local organizations for a German Business Show that creates as much value as possible, for as many people as possible. This year, we plan on working together with the World Trade Center and German American Chamber of Commerce and teaching the community about the European economy.
My participation in the Hannover Trade Show delegation would give me insight into how the GPWA can improve on our trade show for years to come and allow me to build a stronger network of speakers and contacts for the organization.

German American Chamber of Commerce – Colorado Chapter:
A Non-Profit Organization Fostering International Trade
By participating in the trade delegation, I would like to support the attending members of the German American Chamber of Commerce, as well as the firms and professionals that are joining them.
I would also like to analyze the modern marketing environment of the trade show and develop strategies for the Chamber to use in participating in future shows. By scoping out the makeup of the Hannover Trade Show, I can also get an idea of which Colorado companies and professionals would be the best fit for attending in the future, helping to generate meaningful leads and find ways to best serve the local business community.
I see this as a great an exciting opportunity and would be extremely thankful for any support, which will translate into me further supporting Colorado's international business community.
