My name is Hannah, and I am a transgender woman. I've been transitioning for about a year now. I am lucky enough to have a loving, supporting family, and many friends who care for me. However, I am uninsured and have very little money to spend on myself. Medical transition can be an expensive process, and currently, I am trying to rid myself of the excessive body hair that has bothered me all my life. The most accessible and reliable process for long-term/permanent hair removal is laser hair removal, which will gradually reduce the amount of hair on my body over the course of many treatments. It is a time consuming process, and the cost can become prohibitive when trying to cover most of one's body. To that end, I have started this campaign to help me accomplish that goal, and pay for the many treatments that I cannot do by myself. The amount I am asking for comes from a quote from my local hair removal specialist, with a little bit of wiggle room in case of any extra costs. The eventual total cost of my treatments could end up being lower than that total, as there are occasional discounts available, depending on when I am able to pay. Rest assured, nothing donated to me will go to waste. Whatever I cannot spend on my own transition, I will make sure goes to someone else who is struggling.
