Help Hannah pay for debt, medical and moving expenses!

Hi! I’m Hannah, the recipient of this fund.

TLDR: I have had a tough stretch of time since March of 2023 and have slowly been going downhill ever since, my debt has increased to the point where I can’t manage it anymore and I desperately need help in affording the fee for filing chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Context:

In March of 2023 my supervisor at that time discriminated against me after I put in an ADA request for a simple desk change from a very busy position to an open desk in the back of the workroom. She served me with a punitive document tied to my personnel record that effectively killed my upward and lateral mobility. I have been denied upward and lateral positions I have been extremely qualified for. This incident was also built upon years of repeated acts of discrimination towards me on basis of my sexuality.

After this incident I spent months trying to get feedback and guidance only to be met with silence, ostracization, and repeated attacks from leadership, HR, and even fellow staff members in their attempt to push me out. This caused a slew of mental and physical health issues that I had to take medical leave for two months to try and resolve. I was not allowed to make any money during this time and had to take out personal loans and float between credit cards while trying to get my health in order, paying countless copays and office visits. Even upon returning to work, the discrimination and targeted incidents continued and have been affecting my health even further.

My health has been on a downward spiral that has recently reached a very scary level. I have had countless diagnostics, appointments, and medication changes, and still have a long way to go on figuring out what is going wrong in my body. I have had to take hundreds of hours of Work Without Pay due to FMLA leave having depleted all my sick and vacation leave. I had to apply for FMLA intermittent status so they could not fire me for having to miss due to migraines.

Recently, I found an extreme amount of mold and water damage in the room I have been staying in for the last 9 months. My partner and I have to move unexpectedly and I cannot afford the increased rent prices since my last move in combination with my high APR and debt amounts.

The events from this last year have caused me insurmountable damage to my physical and mental health, as well as my financial health. Bankruptcy is truly my only option. I do not have the support network to borrow from. I am going to try my hardest to pay what I can on the lawyer fee, I have to pay it as soon as possible in order to afford moving costs and an increase in rent.
