Hannah's Corpus Callosotomy Journey

Hi, My name is Julie Guiste. I am a good friend of Heather and Hannah. As we all know Hannah has had a Corpus Callosotomy and VNS Replacement Surgery last week and has not been doing so well. The road is bumpy now but before long Hannah will SOAR as she always does!

So many of Heather and Hannah's friends have reached out asking what they can do, how they can help them and Heather will NEVER ask or tell you what she needs. Those that know Heather, will understand that she is not the person to ask for help as she is always the one to be there to help others, but she will let you know to shower Hannah with whatever you think will make her smile!

They went into the hospital on June 8th thinking that they would be there for a short time and then head home. As we are all keeping up with the daily details she is putting on facebook, we know that this is not going to be the case and that Hannah has a long road of recovery that she will be going through. Hannah is a FIGHTER! A Warrior! She will continue to fight to overcome everything she is going through!

Life as they know it has now been halted! The focus is now on how to help Hannah overcome the obstacles she faces each moment until her body can completely recover. Time is what it will take!

Heather needs to be by her side, to be her Voice, her Cheerleader, and most importantly her MOM! Her worries do not need to be on what is happening or needs to be done at home! Heather has bills to pay, and a house to maintain. Let's all rally and show her that THEIR TRIBE is here to help them as they travel down their difficult road until they can stand tall again, we can let them lean on us!
