Hannah's brain surgeries and recovery
Donation protected
Last October, Hannah received the shocking diagnosis that she had an Acoustic Neuroma, a non-cancerous brain tumor, that was pressing onto her facial and hearing nerves, making surgical intervention all the more complex.
The initial surgery was a success in removing the tumor, but complications arose shortly after. Hannah began to feel the distressing effects of cerebral spinal fluid leakage, necessitating another brain surgery to address this unexpected issue. While insurance has covered a significant portion of the medical bills, there remains a growing financial burden that Hannah must bear.
One of the most profound consequences of this ordeal has been the complete loss of hearing in her right ear. Regaining any semblance of hearing depends on an additional surgery for a cochlear implant, which comes with a price tag of about $9000. Unfortunately, Hannah still has an outstanding bill for $7500 from the previous surgery, leaving her with the daunting task of paying out of pocket for the remaining bills, follow-up exams, and additional scans.
All contributions will go directly to Hannah to cover the costs of tests, the cochlear implant surgery, and the remaining medical bills. Hannah's resilience and determination in the face of these challenges are truly inspiring, and we believe that with your support, she can continue the road to recovery without the financial strain that has come with this unexpected health challenge.
Thank you for taking the time to read Hannah's story; your kindness means the world to us.
