Hello dear friends and family,
You may or may not know this but on June 25 2019 I will be graduating from high school. As a young adult I am faced with the inevitable fact of figuring out who I want to be in this world. I have been accepted into Ambrose University for the following school year into the education program which is very exciting. However I believe God is calling me to global missions work with the organization YWAM.
YWAM or Youth With A Mission is a Christian organization on a global scale whose mission statement is - To know God and to make him known. There are YWAM bases all over the world working in many nations dedicated to serving Jesus. I would love to be apart of this movement.
Specifically I am looking at to partake in YWAM in Haiti. Here I will spend the first three months in a discipleship school called Impact. The focus of Impact is to offer skills so that you can better impact your nation, other nations, other people and yourself. Next is the outreach stage which lasts two and a half months. This time is spent spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ to different communities. The location of the outreaches are not yet known but will likely be Cuba, Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.
This is coming up very quickly and I did not know until recently that I had to opportunity to go. The Discipleship Training starts on June 28 and I would be gone until the end of November. In January I will begin my studies at Ambrose.
The reality that I face heading to Haiti in just over a month is the lack of finances that I have. To break it down the DTS (Disciple Training School) is $4032 and the outreach will range from $2019 to $5386. So altogether I am looking at $6052-$9418. I will be trusting that God will help provide in his timing.
I am very excited to live by faith and pursue this passion that I feel God has placed in my heart. I am inviting you to be apart of this exciting opportunity that I have ahead of me by asking for your prayers and/or financial support.
Thank you very much,
Hannah
