We, as Hannah's family, have watched her battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma for the last 9 months, watching her go from a vibrant, active, outgoing, and vivacious young 26 year old to one who has had to endure chemotherapy, hospitalizations, surgeries to remove blood clots and all of the daily struggles that go along with the fight against cancer.
Here is her story; her words....
"My husband Alex and I were recently married in November 2021, and our life was going seemingly according to plan until I found a small lump on my neck in June 2022. After a summer full of tests and blood work, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin's Lymphoma on September 27, 2022. I am currently undergoing 6 rounds of ABVD chemotherapy infusion set to finish at the end of March 2023. I was blessed with an unbelievable team of oncologists and nurses who continue to do amazing work each week. I absolutely could not do this without my incredible support system of family and friends. Even though cancer is a physical diagnosis, this journey has been majorly a mental battle. Although the chemo recovery days are challenging, staying mentally strong has posed the greatest challenge. Thank you to everyone who has shown me love, support, generosity and care. I am truly so lucky."
As Hannah's family and on her behalf, we are asking for your help with her mounting medical bills. No amount of assistance is too small. Hannah is eager to get well and very motivated to move on from this health issue, but she needs us all to help! With our support and kindness, we can help Hannah overcome this obstacle! Thank you for your consideration!
Also, with the assistance of Tripoli Shriners, we are holding a fundraiser event for Hannah on May 18, 2023, at the VFW Post 5716, 17980 W. Beloit Rd., New Berlin, from 5 to 9pm. This event will include live music, food for purchase, cash bar, baskets, a 50/50, and many other drawings. The event is also a bike nite and the weather should be warm, so plan on attending! We hope to see your there!
