ABOUT
This project started in 2015 during my last year of undergrad at the Hartt School. I partnered up with Taige McMahon, a graduate student in the music department, and together we created a collaborative work including dance, music, and video projections. Our artistic relationship is still ongoing. Over the last seven years we have created several works together and performed them internationally. A Quiet Reflection Vol. 2 is a culmination and expansion of these ongoing projects and concepts.
THEMES
Am I dreaming or is this reality? A nightmare perhaps. Or just a distortion of reality? This work unveils a seemingly fragile mind through a steady stream of consciousness interrupted by moments of regret, figments of traumatic memories, and sudden self-realizations. How do I keep up my calm appearance when I’m experiencing crippling mental architecture? Will I be able to build myself back up, wait, who am I?
