- Hi ,It's Noah and I am raising money for my sister Hannah who will have Chiari Malformation Surgery on 4-10-24 .At the end of January Hannah was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation and Syringomyelia. I will attach a link to a quick video to explain what it is for those of you whom have never heard of it. The quick version is that her brain is too big for her head and causes many symptoms. Hannah has symptoms on a daily basis some days are better than others. By the middle of February it was determined that she would need decompression surgery sooner rather than later. Her surgery was scheduled for last month due to circumstances beyond her control it was pushed put to this week. Her recovery time is about 10 weeks. She does not have any PTO time left due to the days where he symptoms were really bad. Hannah's work also does not have short term disability. Although Hannah has done her best to save what she could and has done everything to cut her bills down including moving back home she will be going at least 10 weeks or more without any income. On top of that she has insurance through that market place and the coverage she can afford isn't that great so her out of pocket cost for this surgery is also going to be very high.
- She is so stressed out over not only this scary surgery but how she is going to be able to pay her monthly bills and out of pocket surgery expenses.
