Hannah and Jared’s Story:

Hannah and Jared have both always wanted to be parents. Anyone who is lucky enough to call them a friend or family would undoubtedly describe them as compassionate, fun-loving, gentle, adventurous, and purely authentic. They are two of the most genuine people you could possibly meet and they are destined to be amazing parents. Unfortunately, their road to parenthood has been a long, difficult, and emotional journey.

For more than four years Hannah and Jared have been trying to grow their family. They have undergone countless appointments and endured months of waiting, only for their hope and excitement of pregnancy to be shadowed by multiple losses. After many tests and several long trips back and forth to specialists in San Francisco, Hannah and Jared will begin IVF treatment at the UCSF Medical Center in the coming weeks.

It is heartbreaking to watch people we love and admire go through so much pain and grief. It feels unfair, is frustrating, and leaves us feeling powerless as we search for ways to help. As Hannah and Jared prepare for their journey to parenthood through IVF, it has become increasingly clear just how financially draining this process will be for them. While none of us can physically change their situation or shoulder the emotional weight of the challenges this couple has had to face, I am hopeful this is one way to alleviate some of their stress.
