Hi! We are Samantha and Micah Hanna, and very soon baby Hanna will be joining us!

Our pregnancy journey has been a wild one for sure, filled with hemorrhages, vasa previa, and a velamentous cord insert. However, through prayer and the grace of God, all of these diagnoses have naturally worked themselves out and we are healed.

Now our baby is starting his/her own fight. (Gender is still a surprise.) Baby has developed a tumor in their adrenal gland above their right kidney, possibly cancerous.

We have been transferred into the wonderful care of the University of Iowa. At this very moment, they are working on a plan for inducing us mid-October and putting together their team to perform their evaluations on baby and what to do moving forward.

We have been blessed with amazing health insurance, and it has helped so much already.

However, we are anticipating a month plus of our baby staying in the NICU. Samantha and I have agreed that we will be by baby’s side the whole way, but the bills don’t stop because of hard times.

As things stand now, we anticipate that Micah will only be able to stay for the labor and delivery plus recovery of Samantha. After that, he will have to hit the road again and start working to pay for copays, medical bills, mortgage, utilities, etc.

We wanted to start this GoFundMe so that he won’t have to leave right away, and he can be there right alongside Samantha and baby in one of the hardest times of our life.

Anything helps, even just sharing our story and prayer.

We love you all, and can’t wait to introduce Baby Hanna to all of his/her wonderful family all around the globe.
